Ontario insurance brokers must meet RIBO standards. The public directory is where you confirm the licensed firm behind the broker you are working with, including licence status and number, before you share personal information or pay fees.
What the directory shows
RIBO lists the registered firm’s name, licence number, status (for example Active), class, and conditions, so you can confirm your broker is tied to a properly authorized Ontario operation.

Checking the listing reduces the risk of misrepresentation and helps ensure you are working with a RIBO-licensed broker backed by a registered Ontario firm.
Verify your broker in three steps
Use RIBO’s Broker Search below to verify your contact by name, then confirm the broker’s licence status and where they are authorized to practise. Use the screenshots where they help.
Run search and check validity
- Enter the broker’s full name (as RIBO’s form expects, usually first then last name), press Enter to run the search, then check the result for a valid RIBO broker licence and that the broker is authorized to practise under Oracle Insurance Risk Management Services (as RIBO lists it for that broker).
